Antonio Gomes first proved
his worth in Pinhal Golf Course's restaurant, whose
international menu has won much praise. In a completely
different setting the "Gomes na Praia" attracts
you at first glance: a generous veranda with a sea view
welcomes you to partake in a calm and very Portuguese
meal.
"It is a great opportunity to
be able to offer something that is typical of the Algarve:
fresh fish and shellfish" says Antonio Gomes. The
most regional of Vilamoura's beach restaurants also
has "those" dishes that are a must in the
Algarve, highlighted by cataplana, prawns, cockles and
clams from the Ria marshlands. The dishes of the day
also include one or two regional delicacies.
Antonio Gomes says that his restaurant
is ideal for beachgoers and residents but, at the same
time, is suitable for business lunches or dinners. But
more than that: "It is a great place to have a
leisurely meal or even to have a small snack in the
evening."
Fully aware of the mild winter temperatures,
Antonio Gomes says that the awnings will block out the
wind and allow "Gomes na Praia" to remain
open all year. Live music promises to create an "eat
at the beach" atmosphere ... in good old portuguese
fashion. |
