Course Description
This course is one of the newest courses to open in the Algarve. Lying to the north of Portimão it is laid out in a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys. The immediate main characteristic factor is its large greens which place demand on good putting skills. Also, the accuracy of the player's shot will be questioned by deep aggressive bunkers. A further 18 hole course is already in the planning stage.

GOLFE DO MORGADO is situated 5kms north of Portimao in the Central Algarve, with views of the Monchique mountains to the north. The site is set amongst valleys, rivers and woodland, interspersed with vine and citrus farming.

At 7,300 yards from the eventual back tees, Par 73, REGUENGO I will have large tees, gentle undulating fairways, deep bunkers and large greens with numerous pin positions. The planting of around 500 olive trees will complement the existing native vegetation.

The clubhouse is centrally situated between both nine hole loops, with a commanding southern exposure view across 11 golf holes.

Despite being a new golf course this has already settled in extremely well. In lovely condition with lush fairways and wonderful greens, this is the sort of course that, if you are on song, you can return a score to make your week worthwhile.

Directions
Due to its newness here are our directions. Take the road from Portimão in the direction of Monchique under the new A22 motorway. Bear left to Monchique when the road reaches a choice of either Silves or Monchique. Continue on for about 3 kilometers past a Petrol Station on your left and soon you will see a sign to the left for Morgado Golfe. Follow this sign for about another 3 kilometres and turn left at a similar sign. Follow this road directly south to the Clubhouse (11.8 kilometres in total).
